Trend Alert: Tie Dye

I know what you’re thinking- “I hope she is not suggesting that those heinous rainbow tie dye t-shirts I wore as a child are actually on trend!” Thankfully, that is not the type of tie dye I am referring to, but nonetheless; tie dye is back and better than ever.
According to Vogue, many designers experimented with tie dye throughout their Resort 2015 collections. Michael Kors showed us a daring, lilac, tie dyed trouser and Gucci kept it simple with a demin colored, tie-dyed cable knit sweater. In addition, Alexander Wang used both hues of blue and purple to create unique tie dyed pieces throughout his Resort 2015 clothing line.
Bold as they are, these looks tend to be extremely difficult to pull off, but that does not mean you cannot stay on trend with tie dye. In my own personal wardrobe, tie dye is no stranger and I have a few garments that carry a more casual embodiment of the design.
The Free People Double Team Tie Dye Tee is hands down my go to summer shirt. Whether paired with a floppy hat to the beach, a pair of jean shorts to hang out, or white jeans out to dinner, this tee takes tie dye to a new level.
