What’s great about being a college student? Having only one class on Thursday. What’s not so great about being a college student? Having no money. With an empty schedule and an even emptier wallet, I spent the day in downtown Athens, participating in my favorite activity- shopping!!!
Athens, Georgia, a quaint college town, is home to several adorable boutiques and I took to the streets to check them out. Red Dress Boutique, a popular online boutique, has a great selection in their Athens location. Pitaya mixes trendy and cute, while keeping everything affordable. Flirt has a plethora of red and black attire for UGA gamedays, as well as a fabulous sale rack. Encore, a bit on the more expensive end, carries the latest trends and may occasionally be worth the splurge. At Fab’rik, the store itself is as charming as the clothing. My favorite part about this upscale boutique is the wide variety of fun, contemporary necklaces (see photo). The Impeccable Pig houses a variety of casual dresses, tops, and bottoms in addition to everyday t-shirts and shorts. The Cloister Collection, a Lilly Pulitzer via store, stocks all the latest and greatest items from our favorite Palm Beach designer. My new favorite boutique, American Threads, has a variety of cool, boho fashions and even stocks Mumu in their store. I hit the jackpot at American Threads and splurged on a backless, navy and cream tie-dye romper that I adore. I guess my wallet wasn’t so empty, after all!

The fashionista still has a plethora of shops and boutiques to explore, but Athens certainly never fails to disappoint me or my wallet!
