I’m Back: Life Update

This past July, while networking with a Washington, DC-based entrepreneur who formerly ran her own fashion blog, I asked her “How do you keep up with it all?” As a woman who operates a lucrative start-up with only one partner, has two children and leads a busy, social lifestyle in the DC area, she simply responded “Oh sweetie, sometimes you just need to let it sit dormant.”

Even though my lack of content in the past few months is due more to my own negligence coupled with chaos and lots of change in my life, I am chalking this up to intentional dormancy. Although I would prefer to be constantly creating content and using Talk Trendy To Me as a creative outlet, sometimes the ins and outs of daily life just take over.

This past May, I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia with a B.S.F.C.S. in Fashion Merchandising and an Entrepreneurship Certificate. After graduation, I decided to de-compress and enjoy one last true summer vacation. Thus, I moved to Bethany Beach, DE and spent my days in the sand and my nights hostessing at a local restaurant. Now, that Labor Day has come and gone, I am living at home in Bethesda, MD, working at a stylist at Sassanova—a local boutique—and diving head first into the job hunt.  

Here’s to a productive fall— full of content on Talk Trendy To Me, (hopefully) lots of job interviews and continuing to figure out my path in life!
