Weeks have passed since women, including myself, attempted to shop online at 2am only in the hopes of getting a coveted piece from the Lilly Pulitzer for Target Collection. Maybe I’m just bitter that all my favorite items were sold out when I attempted to add them to my shopping cart, but this partnership has produced nothing but greed, selfishness, and sure…an adorable line of clothing and accessories!

Aside from the bright prints and wallet-friendly prices, the collection left online-shoppers saddened at 2am and in-store shoppers forced to sprint like gazelles to receive even one shift dress. And those lucky ladies who happened to purchase more than necessary are now selling the collection on Ebay, for double, triple, or even for full retail price of a true Lilly Pulitzer piece.

Admittedly, I still love Target and adore Lilly, but I think that their union was certainly subpar. As someone who has conquered the Lilly Warehouse Sale several times, the Lilly for Target partnership seems like a poorly organized enterprise with nothing but shortage and disappointment for most.

To those lucky Lilly lovers donning their Lilly for Target frocks, I hope you wear them in good health! As for the rest of us…the classic Lilly prints are cuter than Target’s anyhow!
